ECCENTRIC ELEGANCE

This wedding was so cool to see come together. Kristina knew exactly what color scheme and decor style she wanted: edgy, different, artistic. The color scheme she chose was so aesthetically pleasing as colors of burgundy, jungle and jade greens, and deep reds filled the scene. Chris, the groom, is from Boston. Kristina is from the midwest. Today, they live happily ever after in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The duo met through work, and allegedly, after much speculation on Kristina’s part about when/if Chris would pop the question, he finally did it. And here we are!

Chris and Kristina treated their guests to an itinerary of events leading up to the wedding, with the festivities beginning days before the big day. With a ship tour, two open houses at their home, and a welcome reception in lieu of a rehearsal dinner, the guests from afar were able to experience Charleston for longer than just a mere weekend. They really wanted their guests to take their sweet time enjoying this great city. And to make the grand finale Charleston-approved, they married at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park with the majestic Ravenel bridge in the distance. In the day light, the whole spot was beautiful and rich. And as night fell, the scene was glowing. Tea lights on tables accompanied those bold arrangements from Charleston Flower and the interior of the Cooper River Room glowed teal. In the center of the room sat an off-set, stacked cake with ombre water colors on varying sides of the squared tiers. What an incredible cake that was! Elaine’s Events did such a great job making Kristine and Chris’ vision come to life.

After enjoying dinner, milkshakes, drinks, gourmet coffee, and lots of dancing, guests lined up for a glow stick send off to bid the couple of the hour good night. Kristine and Chris did an amazing job showcasing their eccentric style! And they really made the wedding-week memorable for all involved. What a fun time we had with these two! Cheers, Kristina and Chris!
