If you’re on the search for some wedding inspiration that looks like it could be a staged photo shoot for a high-quality wedding magazine, look no further. Shannon and CJ have some gorgeous taste! Originally from PA, the couple met at a hospital they were working at. They then traveled to charming Charleston for a cousin’s wedding and immediately fell in love with the city (of course!). So much so, they not only wed here, but they decided to pack up and make Charleston home as well.
The feel for the day was a chic vintage-rustic look, with plenty of lace and burlap. But ditch the old barn- cue the big, spacious white tent. The white of the tent made these soft romantic neutrals pop ever so softly. Blush, peach, mint, oh my! And stringed lights are always a perfect touch to any sweet set up, am I right or am I right?
That dessert table! I am obsessed with that dessert table! A slab of wood on top of two wine barrels, can’t get much more rustic than that. With the lace cloth draped on top, and the cutest little desserts from Wildflour on assorted stands, I couldn’t think up a more perfect picture of rustic southern charm.
And let’s not over look the amazing floral job Branch did! That arbor was stunning. Talk about picture-perfect! Shannon said that her favorite decor piece was either the arbor or the centerpieces and I would have to agree with her on that!
If you asked Shannon what her favorite moment of the day was she would tell you it was when her father gave her away to CJ. She’s never seen them so emotional before, and it was touching to see how special of a moment that was for the two main men in her life. Goose bumps!
But, honestly, I have to say, as absolutely beautiful as this wedding was, the most captivating scene was the couple. Truly. Shannon’s gown matched the lace theme so beautifully, and her golden waves were just so stunning! And CJ, ohhh the way he looked at his bride! The way they held each other! These two are *so* in love and you can clearly see it in every moment Taylor Rae captured.
What a lovely couple, what a lovely day. Here’s to you, CJ and Shannon! And here’s to your happily ever after.
