EMMA & JEFF'S HOLY CITY MATRIMONY

After meeting at the University of Connecticut (GO HUSKIES!) and 6 years of dating followed by a year long engagement, Emma and Jeff wed among cherished guests on a beautiful Autumn day in the Lowcountry.
"We planned a weekend down in Charleston to look at venues and fell in love with the Cedar Room. We knew right then that we wanted Charleston to be the place where we said our vows. It is such a romantic and fun city and was definitely the perfect destination for us!"
With spacious flooring, tall ceilings, and plenty of natural light, the Cedar Room allowed the decor to come alive for a bright, clean, simply romantic feel.

The columns dressed with drape and lush floral swags were a favorite: The draping was everything we wanted and added just a touch of elegance to the cedar room! Another adored piece was the whole floral design, as Emma especially sang Stephanie Gibb’s praises!
The bridal party looked like something out of magazine, for real. It was as if the bridesmaids plus bride were selected out of a Victoria’s Secret magazine and the groomsmen plus groom were picked out of a Calvin Klein line up! As our very own Blythe says, “they were the most beautiful couple and their bridal party was just stunning."
Not only did the Cedar Room house the nuptials and celebration, they catered all the food, right down to the beverages and desserts! I wish I could just share here all the incredible pictures Reese Moore snapped of the menu (or the whole night, really), but I’d have to post half the album and ain’t no one got time for that. Just kidding, but really, just take my word for it. Emma commented that their guests loved the cuisine, as they all raved about their meals!
I asked the lovely couple what their favorite parts of the day were. I love hearing the couples’ input of what was most meaningful to them from their wedding- most often it’s something that couldn’t be shown in even the most beautifully photographed scenes…
They named a few moments, with some difficulty narrowing down the list of favorites- which is just how we like those lists! From a relaxed morning getting ready with the most special friends and family, to Emma walking down the aisle to her sweet, teary-eyed groom, to Jeff’s close family friend coming to Charleston to marry the couple, the day was just jam packed with goodness.
“Our love bottle openers were a special addition to the tables. We also loved the lounge area with the cafe lights that Blythe created in the courtyard. It was the perfect place for our night cap!”
The sweetheart table with the settee seating added a cozy elegance to the evening: the newlyweds dined among friends while in their own intimate space. And there was still plenty of room to spare for all the festivities! DJ Natty Heavy provided tunes for sweet slow dances followed by the most fun beats to dance the remainder of the evening away!
“And having a room full of our favorite people dance the night away was icing on the cake! It was all amazing and everything we could have asked for.”
We are so glad that Emma and Jeffrey allowed us to be a part of this beautiful day. This couple is the kind whose beauty radiates from the inside out, so of course they were such a pleasure to work with. We’ve been so honored to share this memorable day with them!
Cheers to Emma & Jeff!
