ONCE UPON A TIME...

There was a beautiful damsel with hair that could have belonged to an angel and a sparkling charm that could outshine a Disney princess. They called her Mallory.
And there lived a man. This man owned a heart of gentleness and pure love. He had, as some might say, the character of a modern day Prince Charming. The man was called Erik.
" To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life." Les Misérables
Kismet lead these two souls to an encounter that would be the beginning of the rest of their lives. Their hearts synched and beat only for the other.
Erik asked his beloved to be his.
And she said yes to forever.
" What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life–to strengthen each other in all labour, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be one with each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting?" Adam Bede
Would there be a more appropriate place to hold a wedding celebration for these book lovers than the 268 year old Charleston Library Society? As a librarian herself, Mallory could think of no better place to suit her and her beau.
Surrounded by countless stories, guests mingled and enjoyed themselves while The Royals played in the background. The company also had the pleasure of dining on mouthwatering dishes provided by the talented chefs at Duvall. A sweet tooth was be cured with an always flawless Delicious Desserts cake.
Stephanie Gibbs Events supplied aesthetic satisfaction with delicate arrangements of various blooms of pinks and white with pops of burgundy and deep wine, all encompassed with lush greens.
Not pictured: the darling aisle in the courtyard of The Confederate Home. On either side of the aisle lined a full, beautiful arrangement of said florals and greenery. The site was truly charming. After a fun-filled night of dining and dancing, the time came for the newly wedded lovers to depart into the night. As the couple descended the marble steps, guests sent them off in a shower of rose petals. Courtesy of Lowcountry Valet & Shuttle, at the bottom of the steps waited
Rodger, a vintage racing Bentley, complete with a fetching chauffeur.
This wedding was a joy to be able to assist in producing. These two are the most inviting and hilarious couple, which made them a joy to be around. They would certainly make great characters for a good, captivating story! Mallory and Erik forever have a part in our story, and we feel so blessed to have been able to have a small part in theirs.
