All of our brides are faced with the tough decision of choosing between the beautifully historic plantations, sun filled beach front venues, or the endlessly charming downtown venues. One of our favorite downtown venues is the Wickliffe house. The white mansion is located on Ashley Ave, nestled in the Radcliffboro neighborhood of downtown Charleston. It offers both picture perfect indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces as well as caters outstanding Southern eats and refreshing beverages.
Our clients, Honey and Matt, couldn't have agreed more. They are Virginia natives based in New York City who chose Charleston as their getaway destination to tie the knot among family and friends. It must be said, Honey and Matt are the most sweet and down to earth couple we had the pleasure of working with!
Honey came to us knowing she wanted a clean and classic design for their special day. We helped Honey's vision come to life by incorporating ivory linens, a mixture of luscious greenery, chic garden tables with umbrellas, a black and white checkered dance floor, and soft cafe lighting. The clean lines of the decor paired well against the backdrop of the white mansion and black shutters.
On the day of the wedding, it was pouring in Charleston! The dark skies and rain cleared right in time for the 5 o'clock ceremony. Take a peak below of Honey and Matt's special day captured by Riverland Studios.
Congratulations Honey and Matt, Blythe and the rest of the YOJ team enjoyed every minute of working with you both and wish you all the best in years to come!
